WILLING FAMILY GRAVEYARD

Nanticoke, MD between Red Hill Lane and Nanticoke Wharf Road

(Note: Graveyard is on private property accessible only via private lane from Nanticoke Wharf Rd. entrance to Roaring Point Campground)

Cemetery is on a raised knoll adjacent to driveway opposite property owner’s home. Enclosed by a chain link fence, rusted but in fair condition. It is fully overgrown with trees, vines, and dense groundcover. There is no evidence of any recent attempts to clean it up. All but one headstone is standing, but some are slightly askew. Most graves have footstones as well. Site was recorded Nov. 29, 1997 by Margaret Robinson and Paul Willing.
